Laing O’Rourke, with joint venture partner Amentum Australia,will playa central rolein supportingAustralianNaval Infrastructure (ANI)to develop and deliver theNuclear-PoweredSubmarineConstructionYard(NPSCY)project at Osborne, South Australia.



We will provide program and construction management services of nuclear related civil infrastructure,site‑widenuclear licensee developmentexpertise, and nuclear safety leadership. We are currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our AUKUS team. Ifyou’reready to domeaningfulandcareer-defining work apply today.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, client specifications, industry standards and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Manage quality risks, non-conformances, corrective actions, defects and audit programs to drive project performance and compliance.
- Oversee inspection and testing processes, quality documentation, records management and project handover requirements.
- Conduct internal and external audits of project teams, suppliers and subcontractors to verify quality outcomes and contractual compliance.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams to resolve quality issues and ensure timely achievement of project requirements.

About You

- A minimum of 7–10 years’ construction/engineering project experience.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. ISO 9001:2015), Industry Codes and Procedures.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems.
- Business or engineering degree (desirable).
- Lead auditor qualification.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
