Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join a banking technology team supporting mobile banking and digital banking platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business and customer requirements into secure, scalable and technically sound solution designs.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineering teams and vendors to design solutions across mobile banking applications, APIs, backend services and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead end-to-end solution design for mobile and digital banking initiatives.
n
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical and solution designs.
n
- Design secure, scalable and highly available solutions for mobile banking applications.
n
- Develop solution architecture for APIs, microservices, backend systems and enterprise integrations.
n
- Collaborate with Enterprise/Solution Architects to ensure alignment with banking technology standards.
n
- Produce solution design documents, architecture diagrams, integration designs and technical specifications.
n
- Work closely with engineering teams throughout development, testing and implementation.
n
- Identify technical risks, dependencies,



constraints and appropriate mitigation strategies.
n
- Support integration between mobile banking platforms and core banking/enterprise systems.
n
- Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, risk, regulatory and architectural standards.
n

Key Skills & Experience

n

n
- Strong experience as a Solution Designer / Senior Solution Designer within banking or financial services.
n
- Strong experience with Mobile Banking / Digital Banking platforms.
n
- Proven experience designing customer-facing mobile applications and digital channels.
n
- Robust understanding of API design, REST APIs and microservices architecture.
n
- Experience with backend integration and enterprise application integration patterns.
n
- Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Azure.
n
- Experience with application security, authentication, authorisation and API security.
n
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps and contemporary software delivery practices.
n
- Experience producing architecture diagrams and detailed solution design documentation.
n
- Strong understanding of non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, availability and resilience.
