Our client is among the world's top producers of major commodities including iron ore, metallurgical coal, copper, and uranium. They extract and process minerals, oil and gas from its production operations located primarily in Australia and the Americas.
Your new role
Coordinate the movement of bulk and general freight across site to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor freight demand and usage to support operational planning and continuity.
Manage incoming and outgoing freight, including prioritisation of critical deliveries and returns.
Liaise with internal teams, contractors and logistics providers to align delivery schedules and requirements.
Maintain on-site visibility to support safe and compliant freight handling practices.
Resolve freight enquiries, track shipments and manage issues or disruptions as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed with the position, you will have:
- Experience in logistics, supply chain or freight coordination within an operational workplace.
- Proven ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers and logistics providers.
- Sound understanding of workplace safety and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing demands.
- Experience with systems such as SAP or similar
