Doggy Walking

Job Description
Your mates think you're crazy. You talk to dogs like they understand you (they do). You know the difference between a play bow and a warning. And honestly? You'd rather spend your day with four dogs and a good trail than in any office on earth.
n
If that sounds like you, this might be your dream job!
n
Doggy Walking is one of Sydney's largest privately owned dog walking companies and we're growing our pack in the Eastern Suburbs. We need someone who genuinely knows dogs — not just loves them, but reads them, leads them, and keeps them safe — to take charge of a company van and become the face of Doggy Walking in the community.
n
You'll be delivering dog walking services across Randwick, Centennial Park, Maroubra and surrounding Eastern Suburbs areas.
n
Your Day
n
You'll roll out around 9am in our fully kitted Doggy Walking van. Pick up your crew from their homes, up to 4 dogs at a time, and take them to one of our many local dog-friendly locations across the Eastern Suburbs. Not a stroll but a walk with purpose, leadership, nourishment and fun.
n
You'll read the group dynamics. Maybe Bella needs to burn off some energy. Maybe the new pup is a bit nervy and needs a calm hand. You'll adjust on the fly because you've done this before and you know what good handling looks like.
n
Dogs returned home safe. Next group. Repeat until mid-arvo. Home by 3ish with dog hair on your clothes and a heart full of love.
n
Generally 5–6 hours per day, mainly Tuesday–Thursday to begin. Some flex depending on the route and schedule throughout the day. This is a permanent hire position, not an ad‐hoc role.
n
What We Need From You
n
You actually know dogs: pack dynamics, body language, recall, lead control, basic commands.
n
Confident with up to 4 dogs at once, all sizes, all temperaments. The anxious Cavoodle and the boisterous Lab — same walk, different management.
n
Cool under pressure: off‐lead parks, busy streets, other dogs, kids, distractions. You stay calm and the pack stays calm.
n
Proud to represent the brand: you're out in the community every day. People see you, they see Doggy Walking. You set the standard.
n
Self-sufficient: nobody's standing over your shoulder. You run your route, manage your time, and deliver a quality service every day.
n
Trustworthy to the core: you'll have access to people's homes, their keys, their pets, their family. This is a high‐trust role. Our clients don't just choose a dog walker, they welcome us into their world and we become an extension of their family.
n
Aussie driver's licence, clean record, and happy to pass a police check.
n
What You Get
n
n
- Company van provided: you show up, the van's ready, the route's planned. No wear and tear on your own car.
n
- A full HQ team behind you: ops and coordination staff who help build your routes, handle client communication, sort the schedule, and deal with the admin. You just focus on the dogs (what a dream!).
n
- You're never on your own: something comes up on the road? Someone's always a call away. Real support, not a helpline.
n
- GPS-tracked routes built for efficiency: we plan the pickups, you execute the walks.
n
- Performance bonuses as the territory grows: the better the route performs, the more you earn.
n
- Growth opportunities: this starts as a van role but as we grow across Sydney, so do the opportunities. Today's Lead Walker is tomorrow's Area Manager.
n
- Work outdoors every day with dogs, visiting beautiful parks and dog‐friendly locations across the Eastern Suburbs.
n
n
This territory is new and building — you'll grow the route alongside us from the ground up. If you know your way around a pack, you take the job seriously, and you want to be part of a team that genuinely cares about doing this properly — we want to meet you.
