About The Role
n
As a Food Services Cook, you'll work alongside our Chef to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly.
n
This is a Part-Time position for Weekends and potentially progress as we introduce and exciting new Fresh Cook Kitchen. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to work weekends as a must.
n
You'll be joining a supportive team environment where everyone works together,
and your contribution is genuinely appreciated.
n
No two days are the same! As Food Services Cook you will:
n
n
- Support menu planning to reflect residents' needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
n
- Prepare, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
n
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
n
- Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
n
- Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
n

A Desirable Candidate Would Have
n
n
- Completion of a Food Handling Course
n
- Certificate II or III or Commercial Cookery Aged Care Desirable)
n
- Current National Police Check & NDIS WC (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
n
