Our reputable client is focused on developing a portfolio of renewable energy projects delivering benefits to the wider community to help with the growing demand. They have a number of exciting and flagship projects in the pipeline, and given the company's growth plans, an chance has arisen for an experienced Development Manager to join them.

The Role:
n
Some of the duties will include:
n
n
- Managing landholder relationships and negotiation of landowner agreements.
n
- Actively engage with key project stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities and AEMO.
n
- Working with the local community to ensure development success and excellence in community engagement.
n
- Prepare permit applications until approval is granted
n
- Review and negotiate all contracts applicable to the project with a focus on pre-construction including PPA, environmental contracts, grid connection plus all other important elements of the project.
n
- Confidently liaise with lawyers regarding contract matters and reviews/amendments applicable.
n
- Manage project development activities to achieve development and grid connection approval until financial close of the project.
n
- Manage preparation of project development schedules and budgets.
n
- Manage project meetings with the allocated project team across different business units.
n
- Acting as the key contact for internal departments including Engineering & Construction, Legal and, Finance.
n

The Person:
n
n
- 3 years plus experience in a Development Manager role with a focus on projects in Australia.
n
- Experience of high voltage, transmission projects would be highly regarded.
n
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with the local community.
n
- Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation skills, with a thorough understanding of contracts with a high attention to detail across all aspects of a project.
n
- Experience of leading projects into the construction phase.
n
- An ability to multi-task and step into other duties of the project as required.
n
- Tertiary qualified with bachelor's degree qualification in Engineering, Planning, Environment, or other relevant field
n
- Full working rights in Australia.
