Maxwell Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join a well-established structural steel company based in Newcastle.
n This is a outstanding opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent local work, completing the fabrication of structural steel components including stairs, platforms and associated steelwork.

The Role

n

Working from the Newcastle workshop, your duties will include:

n

n
- Fabrication of structural steel components
n
- Fabricating stairs, platforms, handrails and other structural steelwork
n
- MIG and Stick welding
n
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
n
- Measuring, cutting, fitting and assembling steel components
n
- Using grinders, drills and other workshop equipment
n
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and to specification
n
- Maintaining a safe and tidy work area
n

What We Are Looking For

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker
n
- Previous structural steel fabrication experience
n
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
n
- Ability to confidently read and interpret drawings
n
- Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
n

What Is On Offer

- $55–$58 per hour, depending on experience

- Newcastle-based work
