Labourforce is currently seeking experienced Voice Pickers to join our team at Metcash in Canning Vale.

n

About Metcash
n Metcash operates a central warehouse and distribution facility in Canning Vale, supplying independent retailers across Western Australia.

n

The site distributes products to a wide range of customers, including IGA supermarkets, bottle shops, petrol stations, convenience stores, bars and restaurants.

n

The warehouse operates across four main areas:

n

n
- Dry Shed - Ambient, dry goods
n
- ALM Shed - Ambient alcohol distribution
n
- CSD Shed - Ambient products for convenience stores and smaller retailers
n
- Cold Shed - Chilled and perishable products
n

n

Team members will generally be assigned to one warehouse area, with a willingness to assist in other areas from time to time required.

n

What's on Offer?

- $33.85 per hour casual rate, including casual loading
n
- Early morning allowance for shifts commencing before 6am
n
- Rosters of 3-5 days per week, depending on the shed and shift availability
n
- A range of shift start times, including 6am, 8:30am and 1pm
n
- Ongoing casual work with a well-established employer
n
- Potential to transition from Labourforce to Metcash employment after approximately 12 weeksn n

Rosters, shift availability and start times are subject to warehouse operational requirements at the time.

About the Role
n As a Voice Picker,



you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders using a voice-directed picking system.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Voice picking orders using a voice-directed picking system
n
- Operating an electric pallet jack (EPJ)/MHE
n
- Picking products within your allocated shed
n
- Repetitive manual handling of products up to 30kg
n
- Working to pick rate KPI's
n
- Ensuring orders are picked accurately and efficiently
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment
n
- Assisting other warehouse areas when required
n

What We're Looking For
n To be successful, you will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous voice picking experience
n
- Recent pick packing experience within a busy warehouse or distribution centre
n
- EPJ/MHE experience preferred but not essential
n
- The ability to consistently meet picking KPI's
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills
n
- Basic computer literacy
n
- The physical ability to lift up to 30kg repeatedly
n
- A reliable and positive attitude
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Flexibility to assist in other warehouse areas when required
n

There may also be opportunities to move into part-time and full-time positions as vacancies become available.
