You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality anaesthetic and perioperative care while contributing to service development, teaching, and clinical governance.

As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will:
n

- Provide anaesthetic services across a broad case mix including:
n
- General surgery
n
- Orthopaedics
n
- Obstetrics & gynaecology
n
- Endoscopy and procedural lists
n
- Dental and investigative services
n
- Lead pre-anaesthetic assessment clinics
n
- Deliver care to high-acuity patients, including HDU ward rounds
n
- Provide advanced procedural care including:
n
- Airway management
n
- Ventilatory support
n
- Central venous access
n
- Acute and perioperative pain management
n
- Coordinate patient transfers with Retrieval Services Queensland
n
- Participate in the on-call and after-hours roster
n
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement
n
- Mentor and supervise junior doctors and medical students
n

- Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
n
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA

- Experience at Consultant Anaesthetist level
