Inspire the Future of Christian Education
Lutheran Education Victoria, NSW, Tasmania and ACT (LEVNT) is seeking an exceptional educational leader to drive the implementation of the new Christian Studies Curriculum across Lutheran learning communities throughout the region. This is a unique opportunity to influence Christian education at a regional and national level while supporting schools, leaders and teachers to deliver engaging, contemporary and theologically rich learning experiences.
Working closely with regional and national stakeholders, the Learning Leader – Christian Studies will provide leadership, professional learning, curriculum support and implementation guidance to schools across Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales.

About the Role
Reporting to the Director: Learning Futures, this regionally focused leadership role will:
- Lead and support the implementation of the new Christian Studies Curriculum across LEVNT learning communities.
- Design and facilitate high-quality professional learning for Christian Studies leaders and teachers.
- Develop implementation resources, guides, exemplars and support materials.
- Support the redevelopment and delivery of EQUIP in collaboration with Lutheran Education Australia and regional stakeholders.
- Build networks and partnerships across schools, regional offices and national Lutheran education organisations.
- Coordinate feedback, implementation activities and continuous improvement initiatives to support the National Christian Studies Project.
- Provide strategic advice regarding curriculum intent, pedagogy and implementation planning.
The role requires regular travel throughout Victoria, Tasmania and Recent South Wales.
About You
You are a passionate Christian educator and influential leader who is committed to the mission and ministry of Lutheran Education. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading Christian Studies, theological education, curriculum implementation or faith-based educational initiatives.
- Strong pedagogical leadership, including expertise in Concept-Driven Inquiry and inquiry-based learning approaches.
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for educators.
- Proven ability to lead change, support capability development and implement curriculum initiatives.
- Outstanding relationship-building, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong project coordination and continuous improvement capabilities.
- A commitment to Christian leadership, collaboration and service.
- Current teacher registration in an Australian jurisdiction.
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Leadership experience within a Lutheran school or educational setting.
- Experience in Christian Studies curriculum leadership, faith formation or related areas.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lutheran Education and its theological foundations.
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning for educators.
Highly Regarded
- Postgraduate qualifications in Education, Theology, Religious Education, Curriculum, Leadership or a related discipline.
- Experience in curriculum writing, review or implementation projects.
- Experience working within regional, state or national educational initiatives.
- Formal qualifications or training in Concept-Driven Inquiry.

LEVNT is a child-safe and child-centred organisation committed to the protection of children and young people. Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a current Working with Children Check, successfully complete a National Criminal History Check, and meet all child safety requirements.
