Our client is a large Commonwealth Government agency responsible for delivering services to the Australian community, supported by a substantial Financial Operations function that processes a high volume of transactions each year.

The agency's Canberra office is centrally located, with easy access to public transport, cafes and other amenities.

The Opportunity

Multiple APS3 Finance Officer (AR) positions are available within the Financial Operations team of this federal government agency.
n
These roles exist to support the team's accounts receivable and finance inbox functions, working under an experienced and approachable Director.
n
You will apply your existing finance skills in a high-volume transactional environment while continuing to build your government finance experience.

The Role
n
Reporting to the Finance Operations Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
n

- Day-to-day accounts receivable and receipting activities
n
- Supporting the agency's financial and governance reporting obligations
n
- Accounts reconciliations, processing and administrative support across finance activities
n
- Undertaking assessments and quality assurance checks to ensure payments are delivered accurately
n
n

You bring:

- Australian citizenship (mandatory for this role)
n
- Experience working in an accounts receivable or finance officer role, ideally gained within a large commercial or government organisation

Desirable:

- Experience using TechnologyOne
n
- An accounting or finance-related qualification
n
- A Baseline or NV1 security clearance, or the ability to obtain one
n
n
You're comfortable working from the office 5 days a week, and you communicate clearly and confidently over the phone and via email.

Salary / Rate
n
n
- $40/hr – $50/hr + 12% Super
n
- Labour hire contract for an initial 3-6 months, with the possibility of extension
n
- Based in Canberra, working full-time from the office five days a week
n
