As part of the Special Projects Team, you will be part of a dynamic, fast paced & colloboarative team working closely with Product Development and Marketing by focusing on both new and established product lines aimed at global markets, including licensed and non-licensed distribution channels.

Primary responsibilities will revolve around crafting packaging artwork, establishing branding, developing brand assets, and structuring diverse packaging formats.

Key responsibilities

- Creating and developing new brand logos and designs
n
- Preparing for final art and creating construction dielines
n
- Recommending and developing the optimum packaging structure for products and brands
n
- Develop packaging solutions showcasing product features and functions while keeping the customers in mind
n
- Proactively gathering relevant information to make the packaging exceptional such as photography, content, and illustration
n
- Working with licensors; taking into consideration feedback and comments while making recommendations
n
- Creating, refining, following style guide as needed by brands
n
- Maintaining timeline and budget while adhering to style guide where required
n
- Designing for print and packaging 3D production and leading in the creative process
n
- Leading the design for trade shows, retail shows, PR, etc. as requested
n

About you
n
n
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in packaging design
n
- Knowledge of the toy industry – preferred
n
- Understands all elements of design: illustration, page layout, color and typography
n
- Solid understanding of complex dielines and packaging construction
n
- Ability to create in-house mocks and prototypes of packaging
n
- Ability to export for final art
n
- Strong understanding of print media production
n
- Exceptional design and layout skills
n
- Must be able to accept creative feedback and follow through with art direction when given
n
- Tertiary qualified in relevant field, e.g. Graphic Design or similar
n
