The Role
n
As the Senior
n Strategic Planner you will enjoy a diverse and varied workload. Reporting to
n the Strategic Planning Co-Ordinator and based in Windsor, you will develop
n strategic policies relating to land development and advise on complex planning
n matters using best practice principles.
n
About You
n
To be successful in this
n position you must have a degree qualification in Town Planning and a strong
n background in Land Use Strategy/plan development supported by expertise with
n related legislation. You will have
n excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a
n multi-disciplinary team.
n
n
- Degree qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning or related discipline recognised by the Planning Institute of Australia.
n
- Demonstrated experience in strategic land use planning within Local Government or a comparable planning environment (typically 6+ years).
n
- Extensive experience preparing and managing Planning Proposals and Local Environmental Plans.
n
- Experience preparing Development Control Plans and strategic planning policies.
n
- Experience managing complex planning projects involving multiple stakeholders.
n
- Experience preparing reports for Council and Executive.
n
- Experience leading community consultation and stakeholder engagement
n
- Experience managing consultants and multidisciplinary projects
n
- High Level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
n
- Excellent written communication skills, including ability to prepare reports
n
- Class C driver's licence
n
- The right to live and work in Australia
n
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
n
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
n
- Post graduate studies in Management, Workplace or Law
n
- Member of Planning Institute of Australia
n
