We are seeking an ambitious WHS Law Clerk to join our premier Work Health and Safety (WHS) practice in Sydney. In this high-impact role, you will work directly alongside Alena Titterton, a market-leading WHS Partner recognised in Chambers and Legal 500. In this friendly, highly collaborative team environment, you will also receive mentoring from our experienced WHS Special Counsel.

You will gain unparalleled, hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of health and safety law, assisting a diverse clientele from ASX-listed corporates to major entities across construction, infrastructure, resources, hospitality, sports, and healthcare.

What You Will Do

- Crisis & Litigation Support: Assist the practice team in its work in crisis and incident management, preparing for safety regulator interviews, responding to safety regulator notices, participating in coronial matters, and defending criminal WHS prosecutions.
- Proactive Risk Advisory: Help clients manage psychosocial and physical risks, review WHS compliance systems, and advise Boards on corporate governance and WHS due diligence obligations.
- Take the Lead: Take a significant leadership and coordination role in our highly regarded Annual ‘Safety By Numbers” WHS Prosecution Trends Research Project.
- Apply Multidisciplinary Thinking: See how WHS law intersects with criminal, corporate, administrative, employment, environmental and privacy law frameworks as well as get hands on experience with statutory interpretation,



rules of evidence and court procedural requirements.

Legal Design & Innovation

We do legal practice differently. We value an innovative approach using advanced technology and visual design to synthesise complex legal concepts. In this role, you will apply and develop skills in:

- AI & Data Exploration: Utilising tools like Harvey (AI), Power BI, Excel, and Tableau to analyse and present regulatory enforcement trends.
- Visual Communication: Creating multimedia content and legal visualisations using Prezi, Miro, Slido, Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.

About You

This position is tailored for a penultimate or final-year law student who possesses:

- A desire to help make the world a safer place.
- A solid interest in comparative case law and social sciences academic research.
- A passion for adopting multidisciplinary approaches to complex problems.
- A creative mindset with the ability to present challenging legal concepts in engaging, visual ways.
- The availability to work a minimum of 2 days per week (we offer full flexibility around your university schedule)
