Compliance & Contracts Manager – RTO / Vocational Education & Training

As Compliance & Contracts Manager, you will oversee the organisation's compliance framework and manage our obligations across state and federal training contracts.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing and monitoring RTO compliance requirements and regulatory obligations.
n
- Maintaining compliance with the Standards for RTOs and applicable VET legislation and regulatory requirements.
n
- Managing government-funded training contracts across multiple Australian states and territories.
n
- Monitoring and interpreting different state-based funding guidelines, eligibility requirements, evidence requirements and contractual obligations.
n
- Ensuring enrolments and funding claims comply with the requirements of the relevant state funding authority.
n
- Monitoring apprenticeship and traineeship funding requirements where applicable.
n
- Reviewing student files and enrolment documentation to ensure funding and compliance requirements are met.
n
- Conducting regular internal audits and compliance reviews.
n
- Preparing the organisation for external audits, funding reviews and regulatory monitoring.
n
- Managing audit evidence and coordinating responses to audit findings.
n
- Monitoring changes to funding contracts, regulatory requirements and VET policy across different jurisdictions.
n
- Reviewing and maintaining policies, procedures, forms and compliance documentation.
n




- Working with trainers and administration staff to ensure training and assessment records meet compliance requirements.
n
- Monitoring trainer and assessor compliance, including qualifications, industry currency and scope requirements.
n
- Reviewing training and assessment strategies and supporting documentation.
n
- Monitoring AVETMISS and student management system data quality.
n
- Identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
n
- Maintaining compliance registers, evidence and reporting requirements.
n
- Providing compliance advice and guidance to management and staff.
n
- Supporting continuous improvement across the organisation.

About You

n

We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail who can also see the bigger operational picture.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in an RTO compliance, contracts or quality management role.
n
- Strong knowledge of the Australian VET sector and RTO regulatory requirements.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing government-funded training contracts across multiple Australian states or territories.
n
- Strong understanding of the differences between state-based funding programs, contractual requirements,



eligibility rules and evidence requirements.
n
- Experience with apprenticeship and traineeship funding arrangements.
n
- Experience preparing for and participating in RTO, regulatory and government funding audits.
n
- Strong understanding of student enrolment, eligibility, evidence and record-keeping requirements.
n
- Knowledge of AVETMISS and RTO student management systems.
n
- Strong document management and record-keeping skills.
n
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
n
- The ability to interpret contracts, guidelines, standards and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical processes for staff.
n
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jurisdictions, deadlines and reporting requirements simultaneously.
n

Experience with aXcelerate would be mandatory.
