PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

n

- Plan and implement a program of study employinginstructional methods and materials that are mostappropriate for meeting District goals andobjectives.
n
- Create a classroom and school workplace that isconducive to learning and appropriate to thematurity and interests of students.
n
- Assume responsibility for the safety and well beingof students under his/her direct supervision.
n
- Maintain written lesson plans, identifying clearobjectives for all lessons, and submit foradministrative review as required.
n
- Evaluate students on a regular basis and provideprogress reports as required.
n
- Maintain and submit reports and records asrequired.
n
- Communicate with students and parents or guardianson a regular basis.
n




- Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
n
- Maintain and improve professional competence.
n
- Attend meetings and serve on committees.
n
- Perform such other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the principal or administrative designee

QUALIFICATIONS

n

n
- Valid Illinois State Paraprofessional Certificate registered in Peoria county.
n
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, TB test, and drug/alcohol screening.
n
- Must pass a criminal background check.
n

n

Salary based on education and experience based on the collective bargaining agreement.
