At Batchfire Resources, we own and operate the historic Callide Mine in Central Queensland – a site that's powered industries and communities since 1944. Located just outside the friendly town of Biloela (20km northeast), and 120km from Gladstone, we produce high-quality coal for both domestic and export markets.

About the role

n

We're on the lookout for a skilled and safety-focused Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic Maintenance team. You'll help keep the wheels turning (literally!) across our large open-cut operation.

n

In this role, you'll:

n

n
- Perform diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on a wide range of heavy mining equipment – including draglines, dozers, excavators, loaders, and large truck fleets
n
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance to keep equipment running reliably and safely
n
- Support breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and keep production on track
n
- Work closely with other trades in a collaborative team environment
n
- Identify improvement opportunities and share your ideas to boost efficiency and safety on site
n




- Act as a role model for safe work practices and help create a positive, proactive safety culture
n

This is a permanent, residential role on a rotating day/night lifestyle roster – so you'll enjoy your time off actually at home.

What you'll bring:

n

n
- Australian-recognised trade qualification
n
- Current C Class Driver Licence
n
- Ability to pass a Coal Board Medical
n
- Strong fault finding skills and solid experience on heavy earthmoving equipment in mining or similar industries
n
- Reliability, a team mindset and a commitment to doing quality work safely
