DELIVERY DRIVER & YARD HAND Full-time/Part-time/Casual | Hall, ACT Canberra Stockfeeds is looking for a reliable and capable Delivery Driver & Yard Hand to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role split between delivering stockfeed, hay, bedding and rural supplies throughout Canberra and the surrounding region, and helping keep our busy yard and warehouse running smoothly.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Driving our automatic Light Rigid and manual Medium Rigid trucks
n
- Delivering orders safely and efficiently to homes, agistment properties and businesses
n
- Planning efficient delivery routes and working independently
n
- Checking delivery paperwork and ensuring orders are complete
n
- Safely securing, loading and unloading stock
n
- Regular manual handling of feed bags and hay weighing approximately 20–25kg
n
- Picking and preparing customer and delivery orders
n
- Receiving, organising and rotating stock
n
- Loading customer vehicles and delivery trucks
n
- Keeping the yard, warehouse and vehicles clean, safe and organised
n
- Providing friendly and professional service to our customers
n

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
n
To be considered, you must have:
n
n
- A current MR licence
n
- Experience confidently driving trucks, including a manual MR truck
n
- Trailer-driving experience
n
- The physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry items weighing 20–25kg
n
- Good time-management and route-planning skills
n
- A strong safety focus and an understanding of load restraint
n
- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work independently
n
- Friendly and professional customer-service skills
n
- Weekday availability
n
- Australian working rights
n
- Highly regarded but not essential:
n
- A current forklift licence
n
- Stockfeed, hay or rural-industry experience
n
- Knowledge of horses, livestock or animal feed
n
- Warehouse, yard or delivery experience
n
