Job Description
Kingston Building Australia – Brisbane QLD
n
Building Assessor / Site Supervisor – Insurance Repairs
n
Get Off the Tools. Assess the Damage. Run the Repairs.
n
Are you an experienced tradesperson, builder, insurance assessor or supervisor looking for a role with more variety and ownership?
n
KBA Insurance Repairs is looking for a Building Assessor / Site Supervisor to join our team, covering Brisbane/Gold Coast and surrounding regions.
n
This is a genuine dual role where you'll be involved across both sides of the insurance repair process — assessing damaged properties, preparing scopes and estimates, and supervising repair works through to completion.
n
If you understand building, know how to communicate with customers and trades, and enjoy taking ownership of a job rather than simply passing it on, this could be the role for you.
n
About KBA
n
KBA Insurance Repairs is one of Australia's leading insurance repair builders.
n
We work with major insurers to manage residential building claims from the initial assessment through to repair completion.
n
Our focus is simple — quality repairs, clear communication and getting the job done properly.
n
We have an established national team, strong systems and a large network of trades and suppliers supporting our operations across Australia.
n
A Role With Variety
n
Some days you may be assessing a newly allocated claim and preparing the scope of works.
n
Other days you'll be on site resolving a repair issue, meeting a customer or trade, checking quality or helping bring a project through to completion.
n
You won't be stuck doing the same thing every day — and you'll have the opportunity to use your building knowledge across the entire repair lifecycle.
n
Travel within the region will be required, and occasional travel may also be required to support CAT events or increased claim volumes.
n
Why This Role Stands Out
n
n
- Variety – combine assessing and site supervision
n
- Own the outcome – be involved from initial assessment through to completed repair
n
- Get off the tools – use your building knowledge without doing the physical work
n
- Solid pipeline of work – established insurance clients and consistent workflow
n
- Support behind you – experienced coordination teams, systems and processes
n
- Career progression – develop your experience across both assessing and construction management
n
n
What You'll Be Doing

n

n
n
Site Supervision
n
n
- Manage allocated insurance repair projects from commencement through to completion
n
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers
n
- Review scopes and ensure repair methodologies are appropriate
n
- Program works and keep repairs progressing within required timeframes
n
- Complete site inspections and monitor workmanship
n
- Identify and resolve issues before they impact the customer or project
n
- Maintain communication with customers, internal teams and insurers
n
- Manage variations and additional works where required
n
- Ensure repairs meet quality, safety, contractual and compliance requirementsDrive jobs through to practical completion and handover
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for someone with strong practical building knowledge who can confidently move between assessing damage and managing repairs.
n
Ideally, you will have:
n
n
- A trade, construction or building background

n
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple projects

n
- Understanding of WHS requirements and safe work practices
n
- Good computer skills and the ability to work across software‐based claim platforms
n
- A proactive, practical and can‐do approach
n
n
Experience across both assessing and supervision would be highly regarded; however, we are also interested in experienced tradespeople, builders, supervisors or assessors looking to broaden their skillset.
n

n
If you're a qualified trade or building qualified looking to get off the tools, take ownership of your own jobs and build a career within insurance repairs, we want to hear from you.
