Job Description

Perform regular mowing, edging, trimming, and general maintenance of extensive lawn areas.

n

Plant, cultivate and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, hedges, and other plants.

n

Prune and trim trees, shrubs and hedges to maintain healthy growth and an attractive appearance.

n

Weed garden beds and remove unwanted vegetation.

n

Prepare soil, garden beds and planting areas, including mulching, fertilising and soil improvement.

n

Plant current trees, shrubs, flowers and other suitable landscape plants.

n

Monitor plant health and identify common pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and other plant problems.

n

Carry out appropriate pest, weed and plant disease control measures.

n

Maintain irrigation and watering systems and identify basic irrigation faults or issues.

n

Water lawns, gardens, trees and other landscaped areas as required.

n

Maintain garden paths, outdoor areas, green spaces and other landscaped facilities.

n

Operate and maintain gardening equipment and machinery, including lawn mowers, brush cutters,



hedge trimmers, blowers and other hand and power tools.

n

Carry out routine cleaning, inspection and basic maintenance of gardening equipment.

n

Remove green waste, branches, leaves and other garden debris and maintain clean and safe outdoor areas.

n

Assist with landscaping projects, including planting, turf installation, garden-bed preparation and landscape improvements.

n

Maintain outdoor areas in accordance with onsite property management requirements and scheduled maintenance programs.

n

Identify and report significant landscaping, irrigation, drainage, or property maintenance issues to the onsite management team.

n

Follow workplace health and safety procedures when operating machinery, using tools, handling chemicals, and performing outdoor work.

n

Perform other reasonable gardening and grounds-maintenance duties as required.
