Electrical Supervisor - Town & Project Works

NRG Industrial is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team.

n

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to step into a key supervisory role across a diverse range of town-based electrical projects and larger industrial, mining and infrastructure projects throughout Central Queensland.

n

You will play an important role in coordinating our electrical crews, managing project delivery, supporting clients and ensuring our work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

n

This is a hands-on supervisory and project coordination role, suited to someone who enjoys being involved from project planning through to completion.

n

The role will involve a combination of site supervision, crew management, client liaison, project coordination and office-based planning. Where site attendance is not required, project planning, scheduling and administrative responsibilities can be managed from the NRG office or from home.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Supervise and coordinate electrical crews across town, industrial and project works.
n
- Oversee projects from mobilisation through to completion.
n
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure projects run efficiently.
n
- Allocate crews and manage day-to-day workforce requirements.
n
- Plan upcoming works and coordinate project schedules.
n
- Monitor project progress, productivity, quality and resource utilisation.
n
- Liaise directly with clients, builders, contractors and project stakeholders.
n
- Attend sites to supervise works, resolve issues and provide technical support.
n
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks and safety audits.
n
- Ensure all works comply with Australian Standards, legislation,



project specifications and NRG Industrial procedures.
n
- Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety interactions.
n
- Review SWMS, risk assessments, permits and other project documentation.
n
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to electricians and apprentices.
n
- Assist with project planning, quoting, estimating and mobilisation.
n
- Assist with shutdown and mining project preparation where required.
n
- Identify potential project issues and work proactively with the team and client to resolve them.
n
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of NRG Industrial.

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident leading people and projects.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
n
- Electrical trade qualification.
n
- Previous experience in an electrical supervisory, leading hand or project coordination role.
n
- Experience managing electrical crews and multiple jobs/projects.
n
- Strong knowledge of electrical installations, maintenance and fault finding.
n
- Experience working across commercial, industrial, mining or infrastructure projects.
n
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
n
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
n
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and project documentation.
n
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines.
n




- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Ability to work autonomously while being an active member of the NRG Industrial team.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
- Australian permanent resident or citizen status.
n

n

Mining Experience - Highly Regarded

n

Mining experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

n

The following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:

- Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
n
- Coal Board Medical.
n
- S123 Supervisor Qualification.
n
- G2 Risk Management.
n
- G8 Isolation and Access.
n
- High Voltage Switching.
n
- EEHA experience.
n
- Experience with draglines, CHPP, conveyors, fixed plant or heavy mining equipment.
n
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or Frontline Management.
n
