You know the drill in most kitchens: split shifts, midnight finishes, chaotic rosters, and a head chef who communicates in decibels. This isn't that kitchen.

Our client in Mermaid Waters runs a skilled, well-structured kitchen where the last plate goes out early, the roster is consistent, and you're walking to your car by 8:30pm — not scrubbing down at midnight. What your shift looks like

n





You'll be preparing and cooking modern Australian cuisine to established quality and presentation standards. Day to day, that means:

- Running your mise en place in line with service and business needs
n
- Cooking and plating to spec during a focused evening service
n
- Helping keep stock control tight — managing food costs and minimising waste
n
- Pitching in on specials and menu ideas
n
- Keeping your section clean and compliant with HACCP and food safety standards
n

n

Who we're looking for

n

n
- An experienced Commis or Demi Chef — previous kitchen experience is essential
n
- Confident with food safety, HACCP, and kitchen hygiene standards
n
- Good working knowledge of dietary requirements
n
- Aged care catering experience is a bonus, but definitely not a dealbreaker
n
- Reliable, organised, and easy to work alongside — this team looks after each other
n

- Pay: $31.30 – $47.00 per hour, depending on experience and casual vs part-time arrangement (Award rates apply)
