The Salvation Army's Family Violence Services in the Northern Territory supports adults and children who have experienced or are experiencing family violence. About the role

n

We are seeking two passionate Specialist Family Violence Practitioners to join our NT Family Violence Services. One role is based within our refuge and the second works across both refuges and outreach offices to meet service demand. These permanent, full-time opportunities offer the chance to make a meaningful difference in moments of crisis and change.



You will deliver robust assessments, crisis response and specialist case management to victim survivors, supporting them to rebuild safety, confidence and connection.

You will work across refuge, outreach and intake functions, providing high quality, safe and effective family violence and child wellbeing responses. Your practice will empower women and children, strengthen community connections and ensure continuity of service through collaborative, culturally responsive support. This is a role where your compassion, resilience and advocacy can genuinely transform lives.

These permanent full-time positions within the Family Violence Service, reporting to the Team Leaders. Pay is in accordance with a SCHADS Level 5.

How you will make an impact

n

n
- Building strong relationships that promote self-determination and empowerment
n
- Delivering specialist case management aligned with TSA's Family Violence Model of Care
n
- Completing ongoing assessments and developing collaborative, goal focused case plans
n
- Supporting clients to access services and strengthen community connections
n
- Monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needs change
n
- Maintaining accurate case notes and data using TSA systems
n




- Identifying and escalating risks to ensure safety
n
- Contributing to daily refuge operations including client support, unit preparation and general site tasks
n
- Participating in supervision and team-oriented team processes
n
- Creating a culturally safe environment for women and children
n

What you will bring

n

n
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work
n
- Experience in family violence or child wellbeing work
n
- Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma informed, client centred support
n
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly when working with Aboriginal women
n
- Excellent time management and confidence working autonomously
n
- Strong written and digital record keeping skills
n
- Integrity, resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
n
- Working with children check
n
- NT Driver's Licence
n
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
n
