Soho Built is expanding and establishing a new division focused on dual occupancy and small-scale residential construction. We're looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Soho Built team in Port Melbourne.

Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and long-term growth.

What You Will Be Doing

n

n
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs and pricing schedules
n
- Reviewing architectural/engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents
n
- Completing quantity take-offs and analysing labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs
n
- Sourcing, evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes
n
- Identifying scope gaps, risks and constructability issues
n
- Recommending value-engineering options to improve cost efficiency
n
- Ensuring all estimates comply with relevant codes,



standards and project requirements
n
- Reviewing contractual conditions and tender documentation
n
- Liaising with senior management on BOQ progress and workflow
n
- Participating in project handover meetings
n
- Maintaining organised records, workflows and job status reporting
n

What You'll Bring

- Experienced in residential estimating

- Highly accurate with solid analytical and numerical skills

- Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications
n
- An effective communicator with strong negotiation ability
n
- Organised, deadline-driven and commercially aware
n
- Proficient in MS Office and estimating software
n
