We are partnering with a well-established private property group with a $2bn+ Australian portfolio spanning Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The business is entering an exciting period of transformation, with a renewed focus on active redevelopment, repositioning, divestment and joint venture opportunities. This creates an opportunity for an experienced Senior Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of the portfolio.

The Prospect

n

Reporting to the Head of Development, Australia, you will take end-to-end ownership of development and redevelopment opportunities across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail and hospitality assets.

n

You will have significant involvement across feasibility, highest and best use, planning and approvals, development strategy, delivery, redevelopment and divestment, working closely with senior leadership and key external stakeholders.

n

A key component of the role will be leading and developing a small team of Assistant Development Managers, while helping to further build the development function.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Lead development projects from feasibility and strategy through to delivery.
n
- Assess highest and best use, redevelopment, divestment and JV opportunities.
n
- Drive planning, approvals, government negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
n




- Oversee project budgets, feasibilities, programmes, cost plans and commercial outcomes.
n
- Manage consultants, contractors, JV partners and other key stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to acquisitions, due diligence and new opportunity identification.
n
- Present development strategies and recommendations to senior leadership.
n
- Lead, mentor and develop 1-2 Assistant Development Managers.

About You

n

We are looking for an experienced development professional with:

n

n
- 8+ years' property development experience across signficant mixed use projects
n
- A strong track record across the full development lifecycle.
n
- Front-end expertise across feasibility, highest and best use and planning.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and financial capability.
n
- Experience managing complex stakeholder and approval environments.
n
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
n
- Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing junior team members.
n
- The confidence to operate autonomously and influence senior decision-makers.
n
