As Head Chef, you'll run the kitchen day-to-day and report directly to the Restaurant Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume venue and wants ownership over kitchen standards, food cost, and team culture.

Key responsibilities
n
Lead, roster and develop the back-of-house team
n
Own kitchen standards and consistency across all service periods
n
Manage food cost, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
n
Ensure full compliance with food safety and WHS requirements
n
Drive menu development in line with the venue's brand and concept
n
Train, onboard and mentor kitchen staff
n
Work closely with the Restaurant Manager on venue-wide standards and peak-period planning
n
About you
n
Proven knowledge of handling and cooking steak.
n
Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior Sous Chef in a high-volume venue
n
Current Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
Strong leadership, communication and rostering skills
n
A cool head and steady pace during busy, high-energy service
n
Availability across evenings and weekends
n
A genuine passion for hospitality and building a great team culture
