We are looking for a (Part Time) Accounts Officer to support the effective day-to-day management of the organisation's accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and reconciliation activities.
n
The role requires a reliable and organised person who can work independently, maintain accurate financial records and respond promptly to accounts-related enquiries.
n
Key Responsibilities:

- Complete daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
n
- Support the accounts payable function, including the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
n
- Support the accounts receivable function, including issuing invoices, allocating receipts and following up outstanding accounts where required.
n
- Independently manage the accounts inbox and respond to accounts-related enquiries within 24 hours.
n
- Escalate significant, unusual or unresolved matters to the Business Operations Manager.
n
- Maintain accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and general ledger records.
n
- Manage supplier and vendor portals.
n
- Assist with month-end account reconciliations and other finance administration activities.
n
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and information as required.
n
- Undertake other reasonable duties assigned by the Business Operations Manager that support the effective operation of the finance function.

Key Requirements:
n
n
- At least two years' experience working in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
n
- Experience using accounting software, preferably Xero.
n
- Strong numerical, reconciliation and data-entry skills.
n
- A sound understanding of accounting transactions and how they should be recorded.
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
n
- High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
n
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- Explicit and professional communication skills when dealing with colleagues, clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
n
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team and ensuring that the deadlines are matched for processes, as agreed.
n
- Comfortable communicating with multiple stakeholders and can be a good team leader in areas being responsible for.
