We are currently seeking a reliable, organised and proactive Storeman to join our team at Butler. This is an excellent chance for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in delivering great service to customers.

About The Role
n
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will support the day-to-day warehouse operations and play an important role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
n
You will work closely with the sales and warehouse teams while helping maintain an organised, efficient and customer-focused warehouse environment.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Supporting the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations
n
- Organising the picking, packing and dispatch of store goods
n
- Safely operating a forklift to load, unload and transport customer orders and materials within the warehouse and yard
n
- Operating an overhead crane to safely move and position steel and other building products as required
n
- Ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and ready for collection or delivery
n
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers collecting their orders
n
- Working closely with the sales and warehouse teams to coordinate customer orders
n
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to maintain appropriate inventory
n
- Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient warehouse environment
n
- Safely operate plant equipment such as roll formers, drop saws and re-bar tenders
n
n
About You
n
n
- A reliable, punctual and positive attitude with a robust can-do approach

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also working independently
n
- Confident communication skills and solid computer literacy
n
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
n
- A customer-focused and solution-driven approach
n
- Previous warehouse, dispatch or logistics experience will be highly regarded
n
- The ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
n
- Valid forklift license and experience
n
n
Desirable
n
n
- Previous overhead crane experience
n
- Experience in dispatch, logistics or warehouse operations
n
- Experience within the building, construction or manufacturing industry
n
- Knowledge of building products and materials
n
- Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
n
n
