We are seeking an experienced Building Services / Facility ManagementEngineer for an approximately six-month engagement supporting the inspection, assessment and technical assurance of Rail Building Servicesinfrastructure.

This role will suit a senior engineer with strong practical experience in the followingAsset Types
n

- Communication Systems,
n
- Electrical - Building Lighting &Power; Low Voltage (LV)
n
- Fire - Alarm Sound & Intercom Systems,Detection Systems,Exit & Emergency Lighting,Hydrant & Pump Systems &Special; Hazard Systems
n
- Hydraulic - Non-potable Water,Potable Water &Sewerage; System
n
- Security Systems
n
- Building Management Systems,
n
n
with some benefit from having rail exposure.

About the Prospect
n
This is a hands‐on technical role that combinessite‐based rail asset inspections with desktop engineering review and formal reporting.
n
You will inspect recently constructed infrastructure, identify and assess defects, review available design and maintenance information, and provide practical engineering advice around defect treatment and remediation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Undertake detailed inspections and technical assessments of FM rail assets
n
- Identify, document and assess defects and areas requiring further investigation
n
- Provide engineering advice on appropriate defect treatment, remediation and repair
n
- Review existing designs, drawings,
maintenance records, inspection history and other asset information
n
- Compare observed asset condition against design requirements, maintenance standards and available records
n
- Analyse inspection findings and supporting information to determine asset condition and engineering risk
n
- Prepare clear technical reports, recommendations and supporting documentation
n
- RPEQ a bonus, though not required
n
n
About You
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Degree-qualified mechanical or hydraulicengineer
n
- Demonstrated experience within building services
n
- Proven experience undertaking asset inspections, audits and/or testing
n
- Practical experience identifying and assessing defects
n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, designs, maintenance records and historical asset information
n
- Strong technical reporting and engineering assessment capability
n
- Ability to provide practical recommendations for defect repair and remediation
n
- An innovative mindset around inspection techniques and asset condition assessment
n
n
