Architectural Hardwood Joinery | Wollongong, NSW | Full-Time

AHJ is a specialist manufacturer of high-end solid timber windows, doors and architectural joinery.

n

We're looking for a hard-working, experienced individual to join our growing team and take a key role in our workshop.

n

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example and wants to build a long-term career with an established and growing business.

n

THE ROLE

n

You'll work closely with management to keep the workshop productive, organised and on schedule, while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

n

n
- Lead and support tradesmen and apprentices
n
- Coordinate daily workshop production
n
- Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
n
- Manufacture high-end timber windows, doors and joinery
n
- Work with recycled Australian hardwoods
n
- Set up and operate woodworking machinery and CNC equipment
n
- Maintain quality, safety and workshop standards
n
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve workflow
n
- Help develop team capability and workshop systems
n

ABOUT YOU

n

We're looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and ready to step up.

n

n
- Trade qualified in joinery, cabinet making, carpentry or similar
n
- 5+ years' industry experience (preferred,



but not essential)
n
- Strong solid timber and architectural joinery experience
n
- Good understanding of drawings and technical details
n
- Robust machinery and workshop skills
n
- Previous leadership experience preferred
n
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
n
- Practical, positive and solutions-focused
n
- Current driver's and forklift licences
n

n

CNC, CAD/CAM or CNC programming experience is highly regarded.
