Are you an experienced agreements professional with a strong background in property agreements, negotiations and the resources or energy sector?

We are seeking an Access & Agreements Advisor to join a dynamic team supporting major energy projects across Queensland. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys working across complex agreements, stakeholder negotiations and solving challenging access matters.

This role will suit someone with a strong legal foundation, commercial contracts experience, or specialist knowledge in land access and property agreements who is looking to work on meaningful energy infrastructure projects.

About the Role

n

As an Access & Agreements Advisor, you will play a key role in the delivery of land access and commercial agreements associated with petroleum and gas activities.

n

You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating and managing property-related agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual, legal and governance requirements.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Drafting, reviewing, varying and renewing property-related agreements including access agreements, compensation agreements and commercial arrangements.
n
- Providing professional advice to support compliance, minimise risk and ensure effective land access outcomes.
n
- Negotiating agreement terms and conditions with external stakeholders and legal representatives.
n
- Liaising with landholders, landholder representatives and external lawyers.
n
- Managing indemnity claims, compensation matters and contractual disputes.
n
- Supporting dispute resolution processes and developing practical negotiation strategies.
n
- Monitoring and escalating access-related risks and complex matters.
n
- Working collaboratively with internal teams including legal, commercial,



environment and project stakeholders.
n
- Improving agreement processes, systems and governance practices.
n

About You

n

You will be an experienced agreements or commercial professional with a strong understanding of contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement.

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- A law degree or relevant legal/commercial qualifications.
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience specialising in negotiation and delivery of property-related agreements.
n
- Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements.
n
- Strong understanding of legal principles relating to land access, property agreements and commercial arrangements.
n
- Experience negotiating with external legal representatives.
n
- Strong conflict resolution and influencing skills.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
n
- Confidence working independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
n

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience within the following areas will be highly regarded:

- Coal Seam Gas (CSG), oil & gas, energy or resources sectors.
n
- Conduct and Compensation Agreements.
n
- Land access negotiations.
n
- Rural property agreements.
n
- Commercial/legal advisory roles.
n
- Experience working with landholders and external stakeholders.
