Production Manager - Concrete Sleeper Manufacturing

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and highly competent Production Manager leading the day-to-day operations of our concrete sleeper manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who is ready to take the next step in their leadership career. You will help coordinate production, supervise employees and maintain high standards across safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.

Key Duties

Support daily and weekly production KPIs

Supervise manufacturing activities and provide day-to-day direction to production employees

Monitor product quality and ensure products are manufactured to specification

Assist with production planning, scheduling and labour allocation

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, downtime and production inefficiencies

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and equipment readiness

Assist with employee training and ensure training records are kept up to date

Provide first-level support for attendance, performance and other day-to-day employee matters

Support trials of new products, materials and manufacturing processes

Ensure compliance with quality management systems,



workplace procedures and applicable building code requirements

Work closely with the Operations Manager to resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement

About You

To succeed in this position, you will have:

At least two years of manufacturing experience

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably within a production environment

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Confident communication and people-management skills

Strong attention to detail and a focus on product quality

A practical, solutions-focused approach and the initiative to resolve problems

The ability to organise priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

A reliable work ethic and stable employment history

The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the broader team

Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia

Experience in concrete manufacturing, precast production, construction materials or a related industry will be highly regarded.
