About the Role
n
As a Diesel Fitter with MacKellar, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant to keep our equipment safe, reliable and productive.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Performing machine maintenance, component replacements, overhauls and repairs
n
- Fault finding, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
n
- Completing daily refuelling and equipment inspections
n
- Carrying out planned maintenance within required timeframes and cost parameters
n
- Working effectively across day and night shifts
n
- Following procedure-based maintenance systems and site standards
n
n
About You
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic or LV Fitter/Mechanic
n
- Post-trade mining experience
n
- Proven experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment in a workshop workplace
n
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
n
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
