About The Role
n
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on individual with strong customer service, operational and leadership capabilities to join our Wauchope team as Assistant Store Manager.
n
This is a key leadership role within the store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help drive store performance, develop team capability and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
n
You will lead by example, support day-to-day operations and provide strong leadership to ensure the store continues to operate successfully in a fast-paced retail environment.
n
As a trusted part of the local community, our Wauchope store plays an important role supporting a diverse range of customers across the region. You'll be joining a supportive team environment where you can make a genuine contribution to both the store's success and the local community.

In This Role, You Will:
n

- Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and support customers with practical solutions.
n
- Support the Store Manager in driving store performance and achieving operational objectives.
n
- Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and support to team members.
n
- Foster a positive, safe and collaborative team culture.
n
- Support inventory management activities including stock receipting, replenishment and stocktakes.
n
- Maintain high standards of merchandising, store presentation and customer experience.
n
- Support the effective day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring stock availability, operational efficiency and strong customer outcomes.
n
- Build strong relationships with customers and support Norco's connection to the local community.
n
- Champion safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
n
n
To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate:
n
n
- Leadership experience in a retail, agricultural or customer-facing environment.
n
- Ability to motivate, coach and develop team members.
n
- Strong operational and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
n
- A customer-focused approach and sound commercial awareness.
n
- Experience with inventory management, stock control and cash handling processes.
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
n
- Current and valid driver's licence (essential).
n
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Relevant qualification in business, retail, agriculture or a related field (desirable but not essential).
n
- Interest in agriculture, rural products or regional communities would be highly regarded.
n
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
n
