Overview of the Role:

The Client Executive supports the management of customer accounts, ensuring strong day-to-day execution, customer satisfaction, and coordination across internal teams. This role focuses on building trusted relationships at operational and mid-level stakeholders, supporting account planning, and contributing to renewals and growth opportunities. You will work closely with Client Managers and senior team members to develop your commercial capability and account ownership skills.

Success in this role is defined by reliable execution, strong customer relationships, and growing contribution to commercial outcomes.

Description Overview of the Role

The Client Executive supports the management of customer accounts, ensuring strong day-to-day execution, customer satisfaction, and coordination across internal teams. This role focuses on building trusted relationships at operational and mid-level stakeholders, supporting account planning, and contributing to renewals and growth opportunities. You will work closely with Client Managers and senior team members to develop your commercial capability and account ownership skills.

Success in this role is defined by reliable execution, strong customer relationships, and growing contribution to commercial outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Act as a day-to-day contact for assigned customer accounts, supporting ongoing engagement and delivery
- Build relationships across operational and mid-level stakeholders
- Support account planning activities, including tracking actions, risks, KPIs and deliverables
- Assist in renewals, forecasting and identifying upsell opportunities
- Identify potential leads and opportunities, working with senior team members to progress them
- Support governance activities, including meetings, reporting, and follow-ups
- Escalate issues early and support resolution, coordinating with internal teams as required
- Coordinate across Delivery, Product and Support teams to ensure customer outcomes are met
- Support customer adoption and engagement with Gentrack solutions
- Maintain accurate tracking of account activities and customer updates
- Role requires an average of 2.5 days per week at customer sites, 1 day in networking activities (including external meetings and business lunches), and 0.5 days in the Gentrack office, with the remainder working remotely subject to business needs.

What We’re Looking For:





- Proven experience in key account management, or senior commercial roles within enterprise software or utilities.
- Strong understanding of the energy and/or water sector, or experience working with complex, regulated enterprise customers.
- Proven success in execution and delivery across assigned accounts
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Strong communication and relationship-building capability
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop commercially
- Ability to work effectively within structured guidance and escalation pathways
- Positive customer relationships and responsiveness
- Robust internal coordination across teams
