We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Office Adviser to join the Office of the Chief Health and Safety Officer for a parental leave backfill until 31 October 2027. Reporting to the Executive Officer, Health and Safety, you will provide high-level strategic and operational advice and support the delivery of priorities across the Health and Safety Business Unit.
Working closely with senior leaders and internal and external stakeholders, you will anticipate emerging issues, manage risks, and support timely, well-informed decision-making.

- Analyse complex information and prepare accurate, clear and timely briefs, reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Coordinate and prepare Chief Executive and ministerial briefs, correspondence, reports and internal and external communications.
- Lead selected strategic and cross-functional projects across the Health and Safety Business Unit
- Ensure the Chief Health and Safety Officer and senior leaders are appropriately briefed and prepared for internal and external meetings.

You Will Also Bring
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic and authoritative advice in a complex operating environment.
- The ability to analyse and interpret complex information, apply significant judgement and develop practical solutions.
- Experience delivering strategic and cross-functional projects, ideally including legislative, regulatory or policy reform.
- Robust project management skills and experience applying appropriate project management methods and frameworks.
- An understanding of public sector governance, parliamentary and ministerial processes or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications desirable
