Job Description
Lead and deliver complex analytics engagements across a range of sectors, with a strong emphasis on compliance, assurance and risk-related analytics, including:
n

- Wage compliance and wage remediation programs
n
- Internal audit analytics and continuous monitoring solutions
n
- Fraud analytics
n
- Data and AI governance reviews
n
- Data migration and transformation assurance
n
- Financial and operational data analysis
n
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
- Managing end-to-end engagements from proposal through to delivery.
n
- Leading data-driven reviews involving large and complex datasets.
n
- Designing and implementing analytics methodologies and testing approaches.
n
- Presenting findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, practical and business-focused way.
n
- Managing project budgets, timelines and team resources.
n
- Coaching and developing consultants and senior consultants.
n
- Working closely with the Sydney Risk Advisory team on engagements where analytics enhances risk, compliance or assurance outcomes.
n

Practice Contribution & Business Development
n
As a member of the Sydney and national Data Analytics & AI team, you will contribute to the growth of the practice through:
n
n
- Building trusted relationships with existing and prospective clients.
n
- Identifying opportunities to add value to existing engagements through analytics, automation or assurance-focused data analysis.
n
- Supporting proposal development, tenders and client presentations.
n
- Collaborating with the Sydney Risk Advisory team on joint opportunities and integrated client solutions.
n
- Working with the Melbourne Data Analytics team to bring established service offerings to the Sydney market.
n
- Contributing to thought leadership, marketing initiatives and industry networking activities where appropriate.
n
n
We are looking for someone with a genuine growth mindset who is excited by the opportunity to help build a stronger Sydney capability over time. The role is not intended to require an existing book of business, but it does require commercial awareness, client confidence and a willingness to contribute to sustainable growth.

Our analytics solutions are primarily delivered using:

- SQL
n
- Python
n
- Microsoft Fabric
n
- Azure Data Platform
n
- Power BI
n
- AI and Generative AI technologies (Claude, LM Studio + open-source models)
n
n
You should have practical experience developing and leading analytics solutions using modern data platforms and be comfortable engaging with technical specialists. Deep hands-on expertise across every platform is not required, but you should be able to lead the design, delivery and interpretation of data-driven work.

- 5+ years' experience delivering data analytics projects.
n
- Strong project management and client relationship skills.
n
- Experience managing and mentoring staff.
n
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
n
- Ability to translate technical findings into business-focused insights.
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Commercial mindset with experience managing engagement scope, budgets and profitability.
n
- Experience using SQL and/or Python for data analysis.
n
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualisation platforms.
n
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
