We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant or Supervisor with a strong Business Services background to join our growing team. You'll bring solid experience from Australian public practice, with the technical capability to independently manage compliance work across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, while building trusted relationships with your clients.
Depending on your experience and capability, you may join us at Senior Accountant or Supervisor level .

The Opportunity
This is a hands-on Business Services and Advisory role working closely with our Director and broader team across a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses.
You'll take ownership of core Business Services work, including financial statements, tax returns, tax planning and client queries, while developing deeper exposure across structuring, forecasting, valuations, financial modelling, due diligence, and management and board reporting.
We're looking for someone who already has strong Business Services foundations and can confidently manage complex accounting work with minimal supervision.
At Senior Accountant level , you'll take ownership of your work and client relationships, manage competing priorities and continue developing your technical and advisory capability.
At Supervisor level , you'll bring all of the above, with greater responsibility for managing engagements from scope through to completion, delegating and reviewing work, developing team members, managing budgets and workflow, and building stronger professional relationships with clients.
Appointment level will reflect your experience and capability.
Duties and Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and level, your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Manage Business Services compliance requirements across a diverse portfolio of clients
- Provide proactive business advisory support, including tax planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Assist clients with structuring, tax strategy and growth initiatives
- Support engagements across business valuations, due diligence, financial modelling, three-way forecasting, and management and board reporting
- Manage client queries and build trusted, proactive relationships with business owners and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate, efficient and timely service delivery
- Leverage Xero and other cloud-based accounting technologies to improve client outcomes and ways of working
- Maintain strong working knowledge of current Australian tax legislation, compliance requirements and relevant accounting standards
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and work with the team to implement more efficient ways of working
- Participate in regular team and client meetings, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of client work
- Manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service.
For candidates operating at Supervisor level, responsibilities will also include:
- Scope, plan and manage multiple client engagements, including budgets, resources and delivery timeframes
- Delegate work effectively and support team members to deliver engagements within agreed budgets and timeframes
- Review work and provide technical guidance, coaching and feedback to junior, intermediate and senior accountants
- Monitor engagement performance, including WIP, budgets and delivery, escalating issues where appropriateBuild strong professional relationships with clients, identify emerging client needs and work with Managers and Partners on potential solutions.
About You
You're an experienced Business Services accountant who enjoys combining solid technical work with genuine client relationships.
You've developed solid foundations in Australian public practice and can confidently manage compliance work across a range of entity types. You're comfortable taking ownership of your work and communicating directly with business owners, and you're interested in using your technical expertise to help clients make better business decisions. You will have:
- Current or previous Business Services / Business Advisory experience within Australian public practice
- Approximately 4–6+ years' public practice experience, with flexibility depending on the level of appointment
- Demonstrated hands-on experience preparing and/or reviewing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements
- CA or CPA qualification, or be nearing completion at Senior Accountant level
- Experience managing client queries and building relationships with business owners and key stakeholders
- Strong proficiency with Xero and other cloud-based accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, competing priorities and your own workflow
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, commercially minded and growth-focused approach.
Exposure to tax planning, structuring, forecasting, management reporting, valuations, due diligence or financial modelling will be highly regarded.
For Supervisor-level candidates
- CA qualification, with approximately 3+ years' post-qualification experience
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements, including workflow, budgets and delivery
- Experience delegating and reviewing work and supporting the technical and professional development of other accountants
- Confidence managing more complex technical work and client relationships
- A comprehensive understanding of Australian taxation law.
