Mildura Motor Holdings is seeking an experienced Used Car Manager / Valuer to take ownership of our used vehicle operations in Mildura or a experienced used car sales executive ready to take the next step.

n

This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to a motivated automotive qualified who understands stock management, vehicle appraisals, trade‐ins, reconditioning, pricing, online presentation and team performance.

n

You will play a key role in driving profitability, maintaining strong stock turn, supporting the sales team and ensuring every used vehicle is priced, prepared and presented to a high standard.

About the role

n

Reporting to Dealer Principal, you will be responsible for managing the day‐to‐day performance of the used vehicle department, including vehicle purchasing, valuations, trade appraisals and stock control.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

- Appraising trade‐ins and providing accurate used vehicle valuations
n
- Managing used vehicle stock, pricing, preparation and reconditioning
n
- Monitoring market conditions, stock turn, gross profit and ageing stock
n
- Sourcing quality used vehicles through trade‐ins, wholesalers and other channels
n
- Supporting the sales team to maximise used vehicle sales opportunities
n
- Selling vehicles to customers
n
- Handling customer enquiries, test drives, negotiations and follow‐up
n
- Ensuring vehicles are advertised accurately and presented professionally online and in the yard
n
- Working with finance, service and administration teams to deliver a smooth customer experience
n
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, wholesalers and industry contacts
n
- Driving department profitability while maintaining excellent customer outcomes
n

About you

n





You will be a confident automotive operator with strong commercial judgement and a practical understanding of the used vehicle market.

n

To be successful, you will bring:

n

n
- Previous experience in used vehicle management, valuations, buying or senior automotive sales
n
- Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisals, market pricing and stock control
n
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
n
- The ability to lead, motivate and support a sales team
n
- A strong focus on gross profit, stock turn and customer satisfaction
n
- Good computer skills and confidence using automotive sales or inventory systems
n
- A professional, organised and results‐driven approach
n
- Experience as a Used Car Manager, Valuer, Buyer, Sales Manager, Assistant Sales Manager or high‐performing Senior Sales Consultant will be highly regarded.
