EV Strengthening Communities (formerly Eastern Volunteers) is a not-for-profit organization which has worked in the communities Maroondah, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges for over 45 years and, more recently, in the cities of Banyule, Darebin, Knox, Manningham, Murrindindi, Nillumbik, Shires of Mitchell and Whittlesea. It delivers directly to the community through its’ volunteers and encourages and supports volunteering in the community in a range of areas including aged care, environmental. Sporting and community organizations. With its vision of supporting local communities, EV now extends its services to the Early Childhood sector as an Early Years Manager by sharing its vast experience and knowledge working with local communities over four decades. EV Early Years currently oversees 11 kindergartens across the eastern side of metropolitan Melbourne.

Description

- As the Early Years Advisor, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and care that reflects our commitment to children, families, and communities.
- Reporting to the Senior Early Years Advisor, you will lead, mentor and support Nominated Supervisors and leadership teams to achieve excellence in educational practice, compliance, workforce capability, and service performance. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, maintaining National Quality Standard outcomes, and fostering a positive, child-safe culture across all services.
- Proven leadership experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.




- Strong understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and National Quality Standard (NQS).
- Experience leading services through Assessment and Rating and continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Effective time-management skills, within a work environment which has broad and competing priorities
- Strong commitment to child safeguarding, inclusion, and creating safe environments for children.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with children, families, educators, regulatory authorities, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications





- An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Education and Care qualification (Bachelor of Early Childhood)
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership or management role within an early childhood education and care setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple sessional kindergartens or comparable multi-site operations.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Accredited Police Check, VIT
- Current National Child Safety training, including Mandatory Reporting requirements.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle, as regular travel between services is required.
- Full Australian working rights.
