About the Role
n
With the business currently experiencing strong growth, they are looking to add an experienced Carpenter / Formworker to their precast manufacturing team.
n Working within a busy precast manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling formwork and moulds used in the production of precast concrete panels.
n You will work from approved IFC shop drawings, ensuring moulds, inserts and panel details are accurately set out while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
n
Key responsibilities will include
n
n
- Reading and interpreting precast shop drawings
n
- Setting out work areas and determining required materials
n
- Cutting, assembling and joining timber formwork and moulds
n
- Laying out panel details and assembling moulds
n
- Setting out and marking inserts in line with approved drawings
n
- Ensuring magnets, fixings and bracing are correctly positioned
n
- Working closely with production and QA teams
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
n
- Identifying hazards and implementing appropriate controls
n
- Ensuring work is completed in line with production targets
n
n
Job Requirements
n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
n
n
- Certificate III in Carpentry or Formwork/Falsework
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience within carpentry, formwork or precast
n
- Previous precast construction/manufacturing experience
n
- Ability to confidently read and interpret IFC/shop drawings
n
- Good understanding of OH&S; and safe working requirements
n
- White Card / Construction Induction Card
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within a team
n
- Good communication skills
n
- Full Australian working rights preferred
n
- Forklift licence advantageous
n
- Previous concrete industry experience advantageous
n
