About the Prospect

At Metcash, our distribution centres keep Australia's independent retailers moving!

n

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Lead Trainer to take ownership of training delivery, capability development and onboarding excellence within our Distribution Centre in Canning Vale five days onsite.

n

In this highly visible role, you'll lead the local training function, develop and mentor trainers, drive safety-first learning practices, and help new team members reach competency faster.

n

In this Role

n

n




- Lead and manage training across the Distribution Centre, ensuring team members are trained, competent and operating safely
n
- Coordinate and deliver onboarding, induction and operational training programs for new starters
n
- Coach, mentor and develop trainers to deliver a consistent, engaging and high-quality learning experience
n
- Drive time-to-competency, retention and performance outcomes through effective training plans and progress tracking
n
- Identify capability gaps and implement training solutions that support operational performance and growth
n
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all training aligns with national standards, compliance requirements and best practice
n

You're Likely a Match If

n

n
- Proven experience delivering training, coaching or capability development programs within a warehouse, logistics or operational environment
n
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop trainers and team members to achieve performance outcomes
n
- Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, safety practices, compliance requirements and operational processes
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,



with the ability to influence and build strong relationships
n
- A passion for developing people, driving engagement and creating a positive learning culture
n
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
n
