Melbourne - Inner Suburbs | ITEP Building and Construction | Term 3, 2026 Are you ready to plan your next move? AndFound Educate is currently partnering with a specialist Victorian Government school in Melbourne's inner suburbs to appoint a part time ITEP Building and Construction Teacher.

About the School This specialist Victorian Government school provides individually tailored education for young people aged 12 to 24 across structured settings and community transition pathways. Operating year-round, the school can educate up to 300 students on any given day, with enrolment numbers fluctuating as students move through different educational stages.

Teachers work in small-group settings, delivering the Victorian Curriculum alongside VET certificates accredited through Melbourne Polytechnic. The school fosters a deeply supportive, trauma-informed professional culture where teachers work alongside wellbeing teams and community transition partners. This is not a conventional teaching role — it requires adaptability, emotional resilience and a genuine belief in every young person's potential.

- Student Age Range: Young people aged 12-24

- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.

Role Responsibilities
n
n
- Plan and deliver engaging, applied learning Building and Construction lessons aligned to the relevant VET certificate and ITEP framework, adapted to meet the individual needs and goals of students in a specialist school setting
n
- Work in small-group settings to build strong, trusting relationships with young people, applying trauma-informed and restorative practices to create a safe and supportive learning environment
n
- Collaborate with wellbeing teams, community transition partners and relevant external agencies to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to student support and engagement
n
- Differentiate teaching and learning programs to respond to fluctuating enrolment, diverse backgrounds and varied learning needs across the student cohort
n
- Maintain accurate student records, competency sign-offs, assessments and reporting in line with school, VET and Department of Education requirements
n
- Demonstrate genuine resilience, adaptability and belief in every young person's potential, contributing to a professional culture that upholds the school's motto of Unlimited Potential

About You
n
n
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
n
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
n
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
n
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
n
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
n
