Job Description
The role:
You’ll take control of production planning and scheduling across turning, milling, and finishing work centres in a high-mix, low-volume environment. You’ll balance capacity, manage constraints, and ensure jobs move through the factory efficiently and predictably.
Creating and maintaining afinite production scheduleacross multiple CNC work centres
Managingcapacity vs demand, identifying bottlenecks, and driving solutions
Releasing and prioritising work to maintainon-time delivery (OTD)
Working closely with projects, operations, quality, and leadership to align production with customer commitments
Monitoring WIP and adjusting schedules in real time based on constraints
Driving continuous improvement in planning accuracy, lead times, and flow
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience inproduction planning/scheduling within precision machining or manufacturing
Robust understanding ofCNC environments, routing, setup times, and capacity constraints
Experience withERP/MRP systems(APS experience highly regarded)
Ability to make decisions under pressure andown delivery outcomes
Commercial awareness—understanding the impact of planning decisions on cost and performance
Aerospace, defence, or AS9100 experience is highly regarded
Skills & Experience:
