This is a 12 month fixed term, part-time (0.8FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2027 with possible extension and/or permanency

The Role

The successful applicant should be a passionate teacher of Music, with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. The successful applicant should use professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant primary music curriculum.

An understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs is necessary, along with proficiency in utilising various assessment tools to inform progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide future classroom planning.

The successful applicant will ideally have exceptional interpersonal skills,



displaying a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. They should establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development.

The desired applicant should possess the ability to lead and manage extra curricula music events including One Big Voice, WA Massed Choir Festival and our own school choir. An ideal attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are fun, purposeful, relevant and cater for differing student learning needs.

Eligibility

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
- apply for WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
