The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, guiding its financial strategy and planning to foster strategic growth and risk management. They will collaborate with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies whilst striving to drive excellence across the financial team to ensure systems and processes are able to support business operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Provide financial and strategic recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Engage in the creation of business and financial strategy.
- Support the growth and scaling of the business, regionally and interstate, as part of a strategic plan.
- Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, including preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
- Analyse budget performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost reduction without compromising service quality.
- Conduct risk management analysis and ensure appropriate risk management frameworks are in place.
- Manage prospect and risk across finance, investment, tax, accounting, legal, compliance and governance.
- Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard the company’s resources, supported by written accounting policies and procedures.
- Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring professional development and an optimised structure for strategic growth.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for theCFOrole will have a strong accounting and finance background with relevant tertiary qualifications and professional accreditation (CPA or CFA). They will bring extensive senior financial management experience, including proven experience in organisations with $300-500M+ turnover. The candidate should possess strong leadership, strategic, analytical, and risk management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, boards, and stakeholders while leading high-performing teams.
