The Role

n

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to work within our wider engineering team, reporting to the Lead Design Engineers. You will play a key role in developing innovative trailer designs that comply with Australian Design Regulations (ADR) & Performance Based Standards (PBS). Your responsibilities will include:

- Using the SolidWorks CAD package to design products for the road transportation industry.
n
- Applying design for manufacturing methodologies to ensure assembly feasibility and support strict tact time targets.
n




- Translating customer requirements into engineering specifications.
n
- Checking drawings, designs, materials, and equipment for conformity with project specifications.
n
- Prioritising and managing your personal workload to meet or exceed scheduling targets.
n
- Providing technical support for product-related documentation.
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, design reviews, and problem-solving.
n

Skills & Experience

n

The ideal candidate will have:

n

n
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
n
- 3+ years of experience in engineering roles within the heavy haulage, automotive, or manufacturing sectors and experience with PLC.
n
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent communication and project management skills.
n
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, TrailerWIN, and Microsoft Office Suite.
n
- Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with SAP is a bonus).
n
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a meticulous, organised approach to work.
n
- The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
n
