Job Vacancy: Accountant (2–5 Years' Experience)

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our growing team. If you are passionate about accounting, taxation, and providing exceptional client service, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and lodge Individual, Company, Trust, Partnership, and SMSF tax returns
n
- Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST, Payroll Tax, and other statutory compliance obligations
n
- Prepare business tax returns and financial statements
n
- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports
n
- Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and financial statements
n
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and taxation legislation
n
- Liaise with clients, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), and other government authorities
n
- Conduct tax planning meetings and identify tax-saving opportunities, including superannuation contribution strategies
n
- Provide small business advisory services, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet reviews, and financial projections
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and referral partners
n




- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop educational content, social media posts, videos, and lead generation initiatives
n

Skills & Experience

n

n
- 2–5 years of experience in a public practice accounting role
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation, GST, BAS, payroll tax, and financial reporting
n
- Experience preparing a wide range of tax returns
n
- Experience with SMSF processing (Class or BGL software) is highly regarded
n
- Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, Microsoft Office, and the ATO Online Services portal
n
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
n
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
n
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
n
