Job Description

We're seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, sustainment, and ongoing performance of operational technology platforms and communications systems in a safety-critical environment. You'll work across the system lifecycle-helping deliver technical upgrades, enhancements, and support activities that ensure services continue to meet agreed performance and operational requirements.

This is a 24-month engagement, based in Brisbane or Melbourne, with an ASAP start.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Support end-to-end systems engineering activities including requirements, design, integration, verification, validation, and in-service support
n
- Deliver technical implementation and sustainment of operational technology systems (new capability and upgrades)
n
- Monitor, analyze, and report on system performance, including investigation and support activities
n
- Produce high-quality engineering documentation (e.g., specifications, reports, feasibility studies, proposals)
n




- Manage configuration control across hardware/software/firmware and associated technical documentation
n
- Work within established safety and system management frameworks, policies, and procedures
n

Required Skills & Experience

n

n
- Solid systems engineering capability across the full lifecycle
n
- Proven experience in system design, integration, implementation, and sustainment
n
- Ability to troubleshoot, analyze performance, and provide structured engineering recommendations
n
- Experience developing formal engineering documentation
n
- Configuration management and change control experience in a controlled environment
n

Desirable

n

n
- Experience in aviation, aerodrome, or communications systems
n
- Exposure to continuous improvement and technology lifecycle monitoring in operational environments
n

n

Other Requirements

n

- Australian Citizenship is mandatory
n
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government National Security Clearance
n
- Location: Brisbane or Melbourne
n
- Engagement term: 24 months
