Trident Plastic Engineering is a leading Australian manufacturer specialising in high‑quality industrial plastic components and custom fabrication. We are seeking a practical, mechanically minded Industrial Plastic Fabricator to join our team and build a long‑term career in a growing, innovative business.

This hands‑on role is ideal for candidates with a background in boiler making, sheet metal work, fabrication, or general mechanical assembly , who enjoy problem‑solving and working from drawings to produce quality workmanship.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings practical trade skills and a strong work ethic. Ideally, you will have:

Experience in fabrication, assembly or mechanical fitting

Background in boiler making, sheet metal work, or similar trade

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements

Strong attention to detail and pride in your work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to take on varied tasks across the workshop

Commitment to safe work practices

A current forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

What You’ll Be Doing

Fabricating, assembling and welding industrial plastic components

Working from drawings, measurements and job specifications

Operating workshop tools and machinery (plastic welders, saws, routers, etc.)

General workshop assembly and fitting

Assisting team members and contributing to smooth workflow

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

Taking ownership of jobs and ensuring high‑quality outcomes

We are an integrated facility services provider, delivering hospitality and support services to companies operating in remote and regional locations across Australia. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated and demanding environments, including remote mine sites throughout Far North Queensland.

Due to significant growth across our Far North Queensland remote operations, we are looking for an experienced Chef Manager to lead catering services at a tungsten mining operation in the Desailly region. You will be joining us as we mobilise a newly established camp, currently catering for approximately 80 residents, with growth planned to approximately 180 residents within the next few months.

Working with a well-established mining company, the successful candidate will work a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster. Onsite accommodation and meals are included.

The Position

The Person

- Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
- Experience in mine site / remote catering
- Experience with hygienic work practices and appropriate HACCP guidelines
- Bulk catering experience
- Proven management / supervisory experience

Seeking FIFO Chefs – Casual Opportunities

Remote Personnel is seeking experienced FIFO Chefs to join our casual workforce across a range of Western Australian mine sites.

If you know your way around a busy camp kitchen, can confidently handle high-volume catering and have previous Australian FIFO camp experience, we’d like to hear from you.





With access to multiple sites and clients, you can enjoy the flexibility of casual FIFO work without being tied to one location. For chefs who are reliable, adaptable and perform well on site, there is strong potential for regular ongoing swings.

About the Role

You’ll work alongside established camp catering teams, producing quality meals for workforces in busy, safety-focused remote environments.

Depending on the site and roster, your responsibilities may include:

- High-volume breakfast, lunch, dinner and crib meal production
- Bulk food preparation and cooking
- Buffet-style service
- Catering for dietary, medical and cultural requirements
- Maintaining HACCP, food-safety and hygiene standards
- Keeping kitchens and preparation areas clean, organised and audit-ready
- Working day, night and split shifts where required
- Working confidently both independently and as part of a catering team
- Adapting to different camp sizes, kitchens and site requirements

What You’ll Need

Previous Australian FIFO camp chef experience is essential for these positions.

To be considered, you must have:

- Minimum 1 year of FIFO Chef experience within Australian mining or remote camp environments
- Experience catering across both smaller camps and large, high-volume operations
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, or recognised equivalent
- Strong bulk catering and high-volume food production experience
- Sound knowledge of HACCP and food-safety requirements
- Current WA Driver’s Licence
- National Police Clearance issued within the last 4 months
- White Card
- Full Australian working rights
- Current WA residency
- Strong reliability, attendance and FIFO work ethic
- Flexibility to undertake casual swings, including short-notice mobilisation when available
